Delete your MoveBuddy AI account
You can permanently delete your MoveBuddy AI account and the data associated with it at any time. This page describes both the in-app option and the email request option, what is deleted, and what is retained.
Option 1 · Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open the MoveBuddy AI app on your phone.
- Sign in with the email address tied to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the … menu (top right), then Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section, tap Sign out · Delete account, then Delete account.
- Type
deleteto confirm. The deletion runs immediately. You will be signed out and your data is removed within seconds.
Option 2 · Request deletion by email (no app required)
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, send an email request from the email address tied to your account to:
Subject line: MoveBuddy AI account deletion request
The email must come from the email address tied to your account so we can verify your identity. We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 14 calendar days. You will receive a final confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
What is deleted

What is retained, and for how long

Demo mode
If you only ever used MoveBuddy AI's demo mode (the ?demo=1 URL or "Try the demo" button on the welcome screen), no account was ever created. There is nothing to delete; demo data is generated on-the-fly and never stored on our servers under your identity.
Other rights
Beyond account deletion, you also have the right to:
- Export your data: the in-app inventory export (Settings → Import / Export) downloads a complete spreadsheet of every box, item, and room.
- Correct or update your data: edit any box, item, or move directly in the app at any time.
- Withdraw a partial deletion request: contact privacy@lindsays.net within 14 days of your request to cancel before deletion completes.
For California residents (CCPA) and EU residents (GDPR), you also have the right to know what personal information we collect and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
